Final rites were conducted by N.D. Wiggs of New Bern, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Duff Toler of Washington, N.C. Burial was in the church yard at Grantsboro. Survivors include Mr. Toler's widow, Mrs. Caddie Lane Toler; two daughters, Mrs. Emory Sawyer of Cash Corner, and Mrs. Charlton Hobbs of Bayboro; four sons, Tom of Arapahoe, and Charlie, Lee and John, all of Alliance."3
