     Mary Jane Sumrell married John Calvin Cayton. Mary Jane Sumrell was born on 23 January 1876 at Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ She died on 3 September 1969 at Beaufort County, North Carolina, at age 93.¹

     John Calvin Cayton married Mary Jane Sumrell, daughter of James Henry Sumerell and Margaret Ann Toler. John Calvin Cayton was born on 26 April 1860. He died on 24 June 1941 at age 81 according to his tombstone.

     Infant Son Wetherington was born on 10 June 1889. He died on 20 November 1889. He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Errol Montague Tripp was born on 6 December 1903.¹ He married Minnie Elizabeth Rowe, daughter of Jesse Harley Rowe and Sina Elizabeth Stilley, on 27 May 1933.¹ Errol Montague Tripp died on 9 June 1957 at age 53.¹

     Doris Elizabeth Tripp died on 11 January 1934.¹ She was born on 11 January 1934.¹

     Gerald Ray Tripp was born on 8 January 1935.¹ He died on 13 January 1935.¹

     Rosetta Myrle Lewis was born on 14 February 1913.¹ She married Thurston H. Rowe, son of Jesse Harley Rowe and Sina Elizabeth Stilley, on 21 December 1932.¹ Rosetta Myrle Lewis died on 8 June 1989 at age 76.¹

     Thurston Ervin Rowe was born on 22 September 1933.¹ He died on 8 November 1994 at age 61.¹

     Edith Myrle Rowe died on 1 September 1935 at Beaufort County, North Carolina. She was born on 1 September 1935.¹

     William Bryan Rowe was born on 2 May 1937. He married Barbara Ann Toler, daughter of Heber Amariah Toler and Myrtle I. Woolard, on 28 June 1958 at Beaufort County, North Carolina. William Bryan Rowe died on 25 January 2015 at Beaufort County, North Carolina, at age 77.²

     Harold Fitzhugh Eagles married Lovie Rowe, daughter of Jesse Harley Rowe and Sina Elizabeth Stilley.¹ Harold Fitzhugh Eagles was born on 31 May 1908.¹ He died on 1 January 1981 at age 72.¹

The land was purchased for 25 pound proclamation money and included 50 acres "including the plantation where said Matthias Toler now lives" on the east side of Swift Creek, joining Pine Tree Swamp, being part of a grant to Jacob Robinson.¹

Witnesses were John Burgh and Daniel Barry.¹

     John Dep Dunn sold land to John Burch on 12 January 1774 for and in consideration of seven pounds proclamation money for fifty acres, more or less, on a branch of Swifts Creek being the upper side of John Robinson's land at Craven County, North Carolina. Daniel Toler witnessed the deed.
